ABYA® and ANTEL® have entered into a data center agreement to host premium cloud gaming services for the Southern Cone. The companies recognize their complementary strategic and technological advantages to successfully reach the estimated 100 million gamers in the region enabling them to play leading titles on almost any device. This agreement positions ABYA as the only cloud gaming service in the region.

The combination of ANTEL's cutting-edge data center and submarine cable infrastructure with ABYA’s proprietary platform, enables reach to the mass markets of Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Paraguay and Uruguay. As a result, gameplay latency is minimal with ABYA in regional proximity to the end users.

ABYA’s growth strategy is to partner with content publishers as well as local telecommunication, cable, and mobile network operators, which supply both an established infrastructure and customer base linked to payment gateways. ANTEL will offer this value added service to its customer base which covers over 99% of the internet enabled population in Uruguay.

ABYA’s proprietary platform allows users to play popular video games instantly on almost any internet connected device. ABYA claims its platform is unique in the way it maximizes performance and simultaneous users per GPU server while minimizing latency.

ABYA was founded by three Uruguayans: Franco Miceli (CEO), Waldemar Fernández (Chairman) and Nicolás Jodal (Director). ABYA’s CEO, Franco Miceli, comments: “Thanks to this agreement ABYA is the only cloud gaming company in the world that has an offering for casual and hard-core gamers for such a large market.”
